Mode conditioning patch cords are required when Gigabit 1000BASE-LX routers and switches are installed into existing multimode cable plants. They are used to adapt the singlemode output of Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-LX) transceivers to a multimode cable network. Simplex fiber optic cable consists of a single fiber,tight-buffered (coated with a 900 micron buffer over the primary buffer coating) with Kevlar (aramid yarn) strength members and jacketed for indoor use.The outer jacket can be with Riser, Plenum rated constructions and LSZH jacket.Duplex cable has two types,one is with two individual fibers in “8”digit,the other has two fibers in a round cable.
